Ralph Barrett McCormick

Ralph Barrett McCormick passed away on December 17, 2013. Born in Seattle on January 21, 1927, he served in the Navy and graduated from the University of Washington. He started in the wind tunnel at Boeing while in school and retired as a supervisor of a development group in 1989. Ralph married his high school sweetheart, Mary Louise Mondt, in 1947 and together they built their home in Burien in 1960 and have lived there ever since. Ralph hiked around Mt. Rainier, skied Sun Valley, water-skied, canoed, and sailed the San Juans and the Inside Passage to Alaska. He was an expert wood-worker, carved a totem pole and made beautiful cabinets. He was an avid motorist and mechanic. Above all, he was a devoted father and husband. He is survived by his wife, Mary, his four children, Barrett (Leslie), Constance (Richard), Robert (Shelley) and Scott (Kimberly), his grandchildren Alexandra, Spencer, Tyler, Thomas and Terra; and great-grandchildren, Savannah, Jameson and Caroline.

There will be a memorial reception at his home on Sunday, December 22 from 5-7:00 p.m.
