Born October 28, 1926 in Seattle and died October 26, 2013 in Kirkland, WA. He lived a full, consequential life that rippled out in such a positive way. Bob liked life loud and full of laughter and stories.
Bob was a graduate of Seattle University and Garfield High School. He served in the Navy in World War II
as a Chief Petty Officer on the USS Franks. Bob was a mechanical engineer at PACCAR for over 40 years and proud of it. He loved numbers, specificity and knew how to draw so it could be understood. He designed the house he lived and raised a family in. He was also very active in the Boy Scouts and served as Scout Master of Troop 615 in Kirkland.
Preceded in death by his wife, Betty, of nearly 60 years, he is survived by his five children and their spouses: Michael (Lynnie), Brian (Teresa), Joni (Galen), Erin (David), Jason (Jo) and seven grandchildren Ian, Sean, Colin, Maya, Graham, Kate, and Emma.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am on Friday November 1 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 7045 -120th Ave NE in Kirkland, Washington.
Remembrances can be made to the Boy Scouts of America.
