Shirley Ann Rowe Hamblin

Shirley Ann Rowe Hamblin, Age 83, returned to her Heavenly Father January 27, 2013 in Washington, Utah.

Born October 22, 1929 in Butte, Montana to Edmund L. Rowe and Mona Young Henderson Rowe, she was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with a love for the gospel and a firm testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She married the love of her life, Jay Hamblin, on August 2, 1948 in the Logan, Utah Temple. Each Day they spent together was special and cherished. Shirley was passionate about music with a deep love for singing, but her proudest accomplishment was her time spent as a mother. She is survived by her husband E. Jay Hamblin of Washington, Utah, her four children, Jody Sears (John) of Herriman, Utah, Randy Hamblin (Nancy) of Coupeville, Washington, Susan Lawrence (Paul) of Issaquah, Washington, Scott Hamblin (Carrie) of Issaquah, Washington, 23 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and her sister Allene Zitting of Washington, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund L. Rowe and Mona Rowe Howard.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Coral Canyon 1st Ward Building, 1950 North Coral Canyon Boulevard, Washington, Utah 84780. Viewing will be held just prior at the same location from 11:00 AM to 12:25 PM. Interment will follow funeral in the Washington City Cemetery, under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary, 435-673-4221.
