Thomas Nelson Bloom
Thomas Nelson Bloom died peacefully on November 28th at the age of 98. Tom was born October 21, 1914, in Marysville, WA, the son of a pioneer Marysville merchant into a family of two brothers and three sisters. Tom graduated from the University of Washington
in Music Education and went on to teach in Kennewick, Enumclaw, Kirkland, and eventually Seattle. He moved to Kirkland in 1954 with his wife, Blythe, and two sons Greg and Ken. In retirement he played trumpet in local dance bands and taught music privately. He enjoyed leisure and projects at the family beach cabin near Tulalip Bay where he met his wife Blythe at the age of 16. Tom was devoted to family and friends and more than anything else enjoyed their company, including many students throughout the years. He will be remembered as a kind and thoughtful man. Tom is survived by his wife, Blythe and two sons, Greg and Ken.
A memorial service will be held on December 19th at 2:30 p.m. at the Rose Hill Presbyterian Church, 12202 NE 90th St., Kirkland, WA 98033. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to
