Virtue Barbara Senske

Virtue "Barbara" Senske

Virtue "Barbara" Senske, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2013, in Bellevue, Washington. Barbara was born in Wales on July 3, 1924 and, after marrying her husband, Roy, came to the United States in 1949. She spent her life making a happy home and caring for her

family in New York, Colorado, Portland, Seattle and finally settled in Lynnwood where she lived for 58 years before moving to the Gardens at Town Square in Bellevue. Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Roy, in 1991 and is survived by her daughters: Linda (Tom) Harader; Shirley (Sam) Smyth and Sandi (Rick) Giddens; her grandchildren: Jeff, Melissa, Brenda, John and Samantha; and her great-grandchildren: Samantha, Ryan, Andrew, Dundee,

Brandon, Kaleb and Jack.

Barbara spent many hours having fun, laughing and making life-long memories with her children and grandchildren and was always ready to listen or debate over tea and toast. She was the center of our family, a great and loving communicator with a positive attitude towards life that we all benefited from over the years, and we will miss her terribly. Our family will have a private memorial celebration dinner to honor Barbara's life complete with many happy stories and, of course, laughter - just as she wanted.
