William H. Adams

William H. (Bill) Adams, age 87, passed away on February 10, 2014. Bill was born at Seattle General Hospital on August 29, 1926 to Helen Snider Adams and Harold J. Adams. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Darlene; son, Dean (Traci); daughter Donna Faulk (Les), grandchildren Kristen Faulk, Evan Faulk, and Colin Adams; brother Gene (Betty) of Yakima; and sister Linda Cameron of Eltopia. His brother, Jack, predeceased him. Upon graduation from Yakima High, Bill enlisted in the Army Air Force. After service time he returned to UW for his degree in Mechanical Engineering. He then worked for more than 30 years at Boeing, retiring in 1990. Bill was an airplane lover from an early age, having a scrapbook about planes and flying as a youngster. He took flying lessons from Charlie McAllister before he even had a driver's license. His other enthusiasms included his BMW, hiking and fishing, golf, and gardening. Bill was also a regular blood donor well into his eighties. We will always remember him as a kind, loving, and generous man. Our thanks to the staff at Emeritus Monroe, Monroe Fire Dept., Monroe Police Dept. and their Chaplains for their help and compassion. A Memorial Service for Bill will be held on Saturday, March 22 at 2:00 at Southminster Presbyterian Church; 19834 8th Ave. S.; Des Moines, WA.
