William Michael Boulos
October 13, 1927 ~ January 22, 2013
Bill was born in Seattle, WA, the only child of Michael and Olympia Bouliaratis. The family lived on Capitol Hill where his parents owned a small grocery store. Bill attended Stevens Grade School and Broadway High School. When he was 16, Bill was awarded a full scholarship to Yale University
. At the end of his junior year, he was tapped for membership in Skull and Bones. Bill regarded his years at Yale as a highlight, greatly valuing the education and friendships made there.
He returned to Seattle in 1947, intending to enter the University of Washington
Law School. But participating in theatricals at Yale, changed his mind and he headed for Hollywood. While in Los Angeles he took acting classes and performed in local theatres. Shortly thereafter, he was drafted into the Army, serving his time at Camp Roberts, California. He was selected for Officer's Training School but turned this down in favor of returning to Seattle and joining Rainier Bank, where he became a Vice President.
Bill and Vivian moved to Newport Beach, CA, in 1996, and Bill became an "instant" Californian. He joined the Oasis Golf Group, and spent his retirement years golfing with friends, playing bridge, solving the NY Times crossword puzzles and enjoying a relaxing life.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Dennistoun Boulos, her children Elyse Nicholson and Evan Knapp and his four grandchildren, Alexandra and Maxwell Nicholson, Ryley and Miles Knapp.
