Barbara, age 72, was born to Dr. Ralph & Margaret Huff & spent the majority of her childhood in Tacoma, WA where she attended Annie Wright Seminary, class of 1959. She studied at Washington State University from 1959-1961. She was employed at Blue Cross/Blue Shield & later for Washington Credit Union-where she worked for more than 20 years. She felt her greatest accomplishment in life was raising her two children, Sarah & Scott, in Lake Forest Park, WA in the Sheridan Heights community. In 1999, she moved to Mill Creek, WA where she became a member of Mill Creek Community Church. She loved her grandchildren, gardening, crafting, her cat & "puttering." She lived a humble life & will always be known for her selflessness & honesty. May 2012 she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer & moved to Burlington, VT to spend time with her beloved grandchildren & receive treatment. In her final months, she astounded us all with her courage & strength. She lived her entire life with genuine grace & those qualities were only more apparent in the face of staggering adversity. On December 31, 2013, in the company of her loving family, she died at home with peace & dignity. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah, her son, Scott, her grandchildren, Wyatt & Asa, and her sister, Sue. She will live on in the hearts, minds & souls of all of her loved ones.
A service is being held in her honor at Mill Creek Community Church on Monday, January 6th at 11am.

I saw Bobbie on a few occasions when I worked with her sister Sue and she very much exuded the grace that the obituary spoke of. She was a lovely person. I know that she will be missed by her family. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

I'm very sorry to hear about Bobbie. We were neighbors growing up in Tacoma and very much part of the same neighborhood group as well as fellow students at Annie Wright. She was a sweet, loyal, helpful and fun girl - a steady friend. I'm glad to know she was surrounded by a loving, appreciative family.
