It was a lovely photo of Betty. Unfortunately, I worked today so was unable to attend the Memorial Service. I will always have fond memories of Betty - and the Jones Family on 2nd Avenue. We - "kids of 2nd Avenue" were so blessed to have the support of Betty, Kenny and the rest of the 2nd Avenue parents.

To Kenny and all the family over in Western Washington......I am sorry that I couldn't make the journey for todays celebration of Betty. I do believe that I have never known a better person than she was. Love to all of you.

Betty, her life and spirit is the epitome of love, grace, and kindness. Her light shined bright on those of us fortunate to know her. I have been forever impacted by the example she has been, just in the way she lived her life. Betty and Ken raised an amazing family with love and acceptance, that embodied goodness. Although years have past since I had seen her, her spirit lives on in my heart and soul. I am deeply grateful for being touched by the amazing person she was. My condolences to the family. Love and prayers to you all.

Even though i am comforted to know Betty passed so sweetly and that we will see her again, i could not help but weep as i read her obituary this morning. A grand and beautiful light has left our world and there seems to be less grace in the world like Betty gave us all. She showed us how to live with dignity and she showed us how to pass into eternity with confidence. thank you sweet Betty we will see you again

I was once told that Betty was not a biological relative of mine. I still find that very hard to believe. Through friendship all my life with the Jones family, I realize family is a title given to those who love us unconditionally, with whom we share a common history, with whom we can laugh about a million times over the same silly things, who see the good in us no matter what, and know how to bring us joy. This has been my relationship with Betty and Kenny, and they are, indeed, family. I adored Betty's smile and laugh, her sense of humor, her true interest in the life of those around her, the incredible food she prepared, and her understanding of what really matters in life. My love goes out to Scratch and the entire family. Betty's spirit lives on through the lives of all of you. I love you very much.

Great photo of Erts, which makes me think of her special ability to make others smile and laugh, and to just feel better for having been around her. Such a great lady in so many ways, and I really wish I could have been there to visit her over the last month or so. Our thoughts are with Scrats and all the family, filled of course with so many great memories. We look forward to seeing everyone over the holidays.

Dear Jone's
I was so sorry to hear of Betty's passing. Our 2nd avenue group is getting smaller and smaller. But what memories we have of those days. I am thinking of you all at this time. What a wonderful woman Betty was. We are now in California so will not be able to make the memorial but you are in my thoughts and prayers. Kenny, you had a wonderful partner by your side for all these years. Love, Sherril "Garr" Bowen.

Betty always had a smile to give to all the students at Ballard High School. She was never cross or short with our requests for help. Thanks for sharing your mom with the BHS students for all those years. She was a nice lady.

Mrs. Jones was my angel at Ballard High along with Mrs. Mogens to dry my tears and raise my hope during my high school years. They shared my joy and calm my fears when I was the only one to try out for the Drum Major 79' marching band (Director, Perry Barth). Thanks to the family for sharing a wonderful lady - she was a angel for many of us at Ballard High School.
