Betty Ohlenkamp Obituary
Betty Jane (Palmer) Ohlenkamp passed away on March 13, 2017 in Lake Forest Park surrounded by her family. Betty was born on October 1, 1928 in Conrad, MT to William and Verba (Kinzer) Palmer.
Betty was a citywide jump roping champion at age 11, had her first job at age 13 in a movie theater, married George Ohlenkamp in 1949, had a son and daughter, and worked in various administrative positions at Allstate for over 30 years. Following George's death in 1992, Betty was diagnosed with breast cancer and survived that twice.
Betty was known for her great sense of humor and her love of family (and red wine) as a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her son Steve and wife Sally Ohlenkamp, daughter Jan and husband Tim Walsh; granddaughters Kim, Jessica, Jenna and husband Tommy Hulse, Katherine and husband Collin White, and great granddaughters Lula and Kaitlyn.
