Betty DesJarlais Obituary
Betty Sears DesJarlais was born on April 15, 1924, in Wayne, Nebraska, and passed away on June 27, 2016, in Shoreline, WA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Irene Dulin Sears, and her brother, Milferd Sears. On July 31, 2015, after 67 years of marriage, her husband John passed away.
Betty retired after 43 years of work with the federal government in Washington, D.C. and New York City. Her final 37 years were with the Army Corps of Engineers in Seattle.
After both Betty and John's retirement, they enjoyed boating, traveling, and their involvement with all their many military related activities.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2016, at 11:00 am at Saint Mark Catholic Church, 18033 15th Place N.E., Shoreline. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at 11:15 am at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th Street, Kent, WA.
