Clarence E. Kerlee

Clarence E Kerlee passed away October 22, after a long battle with cancer. He was born Nov 26, 1931 in Everett WA to Julius and Melinda Kerlee. After growing up in Portland, he attended Seattle Pacific College, graduating with a chemistry degree in 1953. While at SPC, he met Evelyn Skare whom he married Aug 26, 1955. After 2 years in the Army, he went to the UW to earn his Masters in Chemistry. Following graduation he became a research engineer at The Boeing Company, where he worked 34 years before retiring at age 60. After retirement, he had time to pursue his other passions: horticulture, traveling, bridge and the Seahawks. He worshiped at Calvin Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Evelyn; children Sharon Bovenkamp and Philip Kerlee (Pam Kee); 6 grandchildren, Casie Burt (Erik), Carly, Ashley and Ryan Bovenkamp (fiance;, Kailey Olson), Alexandra and Amanda Kerlee; 2 great grandsons, Colton and Wesley Burt; sister Helen Nuffer (Stan), sister-in-laws, Ivy Kerlee and Betty Croft (George); aunt Ruby Bower, and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins. Clarence was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Kerlee.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 10 at 2pm at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 18826 3rd Ave NW, Shoreline, WA 98177.
