Colleen and I lived in the same dorm at Central Washington University. We both had degrees focusing on business administrative management. Our dorm voted and awarded Colleen "Best Tan" - there was a sun roof on top of our dorm and she would often be sunbathing and studying. Colleen was an excellent student with a bright smile and an upbeat personality! We often listened to record albums in her dorm room. She had a rocking chair in her dorm room I am just remembering that now! She also had her beloved car, I believe it was a Pontiac Firebird! Lol :) ha!
I do remember her working at Time Oil after graduating from college. I attended several gatherings at her apartment in Seattle, she was a great hostess with many friends. Here I am now 60 years old, just looking up old friends to see what they r up to and very saddened to find Colleen has passed nearly 10 years ago and to know she had incurred a brain injury she'd struggled with for 5 years. I wish she and I had kept in touch but I guess life got busy and time has flown by. Colleen attended my wedding in 1987 and we still have the beautiful teakwood salad bowl with 4 matching individual bowls she gave us, more often used for sharing popcorn these days :)
My heart goes out to her family, who I never had the pleasure of meeting, at their loss of such a special daughter, friend, sister, cousin. I grew up in Lake Forrest Park and graduated from Shorecrest Highschool. That was the connection between Colleen in our initial meeting, that we both grew up in the same stomping grounds, Shoreline. She left the earth in a peaceful way. It would also be just like her to request no services for her passing. I had forgotten until I saw her obituary how well we did know each other when we were just starting out in this world. I am glad to have known her and that she was a part of my life. :)

I will remember Colleen as a loving sister who brought years of happiness and joy to our family.
Whether it was water skiing at Mason Lake, the family trip to The Bellagio in Las Vegas or the trip that Colleen and Mom made to the Hilton Waikola Village there are countless fond memories of the time our family shared with Colleen.
Colleen was loved and she'll be missed.

Coach, Mrs. Hogle and Scott,
I am sadden by your loss. She was just a little girl when I was running in High School. I recall the joy your children gave to you and your love for them was evident. May God bless and carry you through the loss of Colleen.
Most fondly,

Colleen gave both myself & my wife a small picture frame of a heart & the words: MOMENTS TO TREASURE. Inside was the message: The bond that we share
