Darlaine Seely Obituary
Darlaine passed away August 31, 2018, in Shoreline, WA. She was born on July 24, 1933 in Buena, WA, near Toppenish, to Donald and Clara Buell. She was the third of four children. She was an honor student and graduated near the top of her class at Toppenish High School. She was married to her husband, Paul Seely, for 65 years and is survived by Paul, her two children, Cynthia and Jeffery, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her older sister, Dorothy.
Throughout her life, Darlaine was employed in various capacities including in the public schools, ELDEC and at Crista Ministries but her lifelong passion was her children, grandchildren and any babies that were nearby. She loved organizing the nursery at her church and could always be counted on to magically quiet a fussy child.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Shoreline Community Church, 125 NE 185th St., Shoreline, WA, 98155.
Memorials can be made to Shoreline Community Church or Crista Ministries/World Concern at 19303 Fremont Avenue N, Seattle, WA, 98133.
