Delia Acree Obituary
"Full of grace," Delia M. Acree passed away February 16, 2013. She was born in Port Angeles, WA, June 27, 1924, and was raised by Brayman and Charlotte Walthall. While visiting in California during WWII, she met, fell in love with, and eventually married a U.S. Navy serviceman, Marvin ("Bill") Acree. During their 66 year marriage she resided in Seattle and became the loving, devoted mother of a son, Cliff, and daughter, Ann, and four devoted Dachshunds. She thoroughly enjoyed the people she met and worked with as a secretary in elementary schools in the Shoreline School District, retiring in June 1986. Known to all who knew her as "Dee", she was the epitome of a kind, unselfish, patient, and gracious human being. Always placing others and their needs before her own, her unwavering love and support for her family and friends will forever be remembered. An exceptionally loving and committed wife, Mother and friend, she will be greatly missed and always remembered by those who knew her.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 1005 Reiten Road, in Kent, WA.
