Dorothy Herivel Obituary
Dorothy May Norris Herivel died July 27, 2015 in Shoreline, WA. She was born September 9th, 1923 in Kansas City, MO, the youngest child of Albert and Lily Norris. Preceding her in death were husband William Herivel and son David Herivel. She is survived by eight children and their families: Marcia Herivel, John Herivel, Debbie (Jim) Hushagen, Marita (Pr. John) Ericksen, Kathy (Mike) LaRose, Suzy (Steve) Maloney, Nick (Debbie) Herivel and Doug Herivel, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a draftswoman for Boeing, a job counselor at Washington Employment Security, and a pianist and organist for many years at Bethel Lutheran of Shoreline, Central Lutheran Church in Everett, Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Everett, and Harbour Pointe Lutheran Church in Mukilteo. She was a long-time member of the Sweet Adelines chorus.
Memorial service will be held Friday, August 7th at 11am at Pointe of Grace Lutheran Church (formerly Harbour Pointe Lutheran) in Mukilteo, WA.
Memorial gifts may be sent to Pacific Lutheran University, the Salvation Army, or the charity of your choice.
Dorothy was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

A large MANGE TUSEN TAKK to God for the privilege to have known Dorothy and to have the privilege with sharing worship leadership at Bethany on Broadway (1990-93)...and again, to be her pastor at Prince of Peace until I retired in 2013. I especially cherish a birthday "date" lunch we shared several years ago...I learned so much more about all of you (all good-really!)...and about our shared memories of a Chicago Salvation Army ministry called the Evangeline. Her witness through the generous sharing of her musical and other talents blessed many for many years!
