Dorothy Heuchert Obituary

Dorothy Oma Ray Heuchert

Dorothy had a long and distinguished career as a teacher and librarian from 1952 - 1978 in the Vancouver and Shoreline school districts. She was honored as Shoreline Teacher of the Year in 1967. She was an active member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran Church and Messiah Lutheran Church in Vancouver, Luther Memorial Church and First Lutheran Church of Richmond Beach.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Rudy Heuchert (1920 - 2005); parents Clarence and Rose (Rhian) Ray; siblings Gladys, Delbert, Kenneth, Dayle Ray and Jeannine DeClercq. She is survived by her cherished daughters Diane Berg (Paul), Pamela Davenport (James) and Marilee Heuchert. Grandchildren: Devin Berg (Paula), Jaime Vache (Sean Karwath), Lara Davenport-Ray (Jonathon), Melissa Davenport (Brian Atkins). Great Grandchildren: Ciara Berg, Jackson Grey and Jensen Ray.

A graveside service will be held February 24th at 1:00pm in Pacific Lutheran Cemetery

within Washelli Memorial Park.

This service will be followed by

a reception from 1:30 to 3:30pm

in the Celebration Room at

Evergreen-Washelli.

Memorials may be made to EvergreenHealth Hospice, 12040 NE 128h St., Kirkland, WA 98034-3098 and The Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
