Elena Gentala Obituary
Our dear aunt, Elena Elizabeth "Leebie" Gentala was born January 30th, 1917, and passed away peacefully on March 8th, 2013 just a few weeks after her 96th birthday. She was predeceased by husband Carl Gentala, two sisters, and a brother. She is survived by many other family members, and foster children whom she befriended.
Elizabeth graduated from the University of Washington in 1966 in Social Work and specialized in the field of mental health and nutrition, a field in which she was well known for lectures and published articles. She will be missed by many.
Viewing hours will be Thursday March 14th, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Wiggen & Sons Funeral Home, 2003 NW 57th St, Ballard. Funeral Services are at 1:00 p.m. Saturday March 16, 2013 at Apostolic Lutheran Church, 19555 Fremont Ave. N., Shoreline with hospitality following at the church. Memorials may be made to her church. There will be no graveside service.
