Elizabeth Wood Obituary

Elizabeth Jean WOOD Elizabeth Jean Wood, age 92, passed away on April 26, 2012 at the Laurel Manor Health Care Center in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Betty was born on July 31, 1919 in Fort Morgan, Colorado to the late Charles and Isabel (Graham) Mack. She married Raymond O. Wood on July 31, 1937. She is survived by her loving daughter, Susan (husband, Kevin) Sell of Colorado Springs; son-in-law, Richard (wife Diane) Culver of Yakima, Washington; and four granddaughters, Michelle (husband, Bruce) Long of Ruthven, Iowa; Kimberlee (husband, Mark) Burris of Boise, Idaho; Jennifer (husband, Jeff) Briggs of Union Gap, Washington; and Alexandra (husband, Steve) Williams of Yakima, Washington. She also has fourteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Sharon Culver; and two sisters, Lucille and Dorothy. She was a former member of Lake Forest Park Presbyterian Church in Seattle, Washington and enjoyed her involvement as a volunteer, particularly at the annual bazaar. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Evergreen Memorial Park, 11111 Aurora Avenue North, Seattle, Washington 98133-8299.
