Florine Dai FLECK

Florine passed away peacefully in her home after a long illness.

She was born in Seattle, Washington to Willis McKinstry Ross, and Helen Louise Koontz. She was a Seattle resident all her life.

In 1947 Flory graduated from Garfield High school, she received a music scholarship, and then attended Seattle University. She had leads in operettas at Garfield and sang in the lead in Seattle U's operetta.

Flory was married in 1957 to Donald K Fleck the love of her life. Together they enjoyed their mutual love of music and both performed at various functions including the Aqua Theater. She was an amazing cook and artist, and loved entertaining.

During the 70's she attended Shoreline college, receiving her degree as a Registered nurse. She worked at Providence Hospital until she retired.

Florine was a very compassionate, generous and caring person, she loved life, and her friends. Her smile was a gift of light to the very end. She loved animals and gardening and created the most beautiful gardens. She also enjoyed their summer home in Roche Harbor and many were blessed to spend time with her there.

She is survived by her daughter Christine Mitchell, grandchildren, Angeleah Degenstein, Jeremiah Mitchell, Rosemary Dai Ross, and Joshua Mitchell. Also twelve great grandchildren, Stephen Mitchell, Adrian Degenstein, Alfred Degenstein, James Degenstein, Hanna Wagner, Caleb Wagner, Bransun Mitchell, Liam Mitchell, Mikai Mitchell, Kellen Mitchell, Hunter Mitchell,

and Jacob Mitchell.

A celebration of life will be held at Parkshore, on the C floor (chapel), 1630 43rd Ave E. Seattle, on December 29th, at 1:00 p.m. A reception will follow on the 15th floor.

Memorials can be made to The Northwest Kidney Center, or an animal shelter of your choice.
