Floyd Arnold Ivester

Floyd Arnold Ivester, age 93, died peacefully on August 10, 2018 at Sunrise of Edmonds. Floyd was born April 10, 1925, in Tenino, Wa, the son of Ralph E. Ivester, Sr. and Thedosia Yantis Ivester. At the age of twelve the family moved to North Seattle, Washington.

Floyd graduated from Queen Ann High School, class of 1943 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was married to Sharon Jessen Ivester for 67 wonderful years. After returning home from the war, he worked as a PBX Repairman and retired from Pacific Northwest Bell after 37 years. Floyd enjoyed golf, travel and the outdoors.

Floyd is preceded in death by his wife Sharon Jessen Ivester of Lake Forest Park. Survived by Daughters, Linda (Tim) Drumhiller, of Yakima; Gayle (Rick) Lagerstrom of Bothell; Son, Randall (Pam) Bickle of Gig Harbor; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; Sister, Delores Anderson; Sister-in-Law, Miriam Jessen Hyde; Brother-in-Law, J. Wayne Jessen; and numerous loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:00 am. at Acacia Memorial Park at 14951 Bothell Way NE, Lake Forest Park, Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation can be sent in his name to Alzheimer's Association, 100 W Harrison St., Seattle, WA 98119. The family would like to thank all the staff and care givers at Sunrise of Edmonds for their personal and loving care.
