Frances Fodor Obituary

Frances Louise Fodor

Born April 21, 1922 - the brightest star in Taurus, passed away May 31, 2017. The third of four children born to Harry and Leta Anderson in Shelbyville, Indiana.

After graduating high school and completing nurses training she worked at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. There she met Oscar the love of her life, they were married for 62 years. Survived by her five children Susan, Cassandra, Eric, Stephen and Julia, nine grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. They eventually settled in Lake Forest Park in 1949 where she lived for 69 years.

She enjoyed traveling, a good martini, lazy hot days in the Methow, good friends, puzzles, was a gourmet cook, played saxophone, sketched, painted, loved music, poetry, old movies, antiques and all things beautiful.

The best mother, creator of wonderful memories, gentle, courageous, kind, intelligent, generous and beautiful she was adored by all who knew her.

An active member of Children's Orthopedic Guild, Aqua Club swim club, supporter of Seattle Symphony and a volunteer for numerous charities.

Celebrate and toast her with a Beefeaters martini.

Goodnight sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

Donations to Children's Orthopedic Hospital & Seattle Symphony. Private services were held.

I never met you but I worked with your daughter. It sounds like you and your husband had quite the life filled with lots of love. I did taste your handiwork in the kitchen. The best brownies I ever tasted. I hope you and Oscar are enjoying heaven.
