Geno, in addition to being the original "Italian Stallion", was also the "gently giant." I will always keep him in my memory as a guy with a kind heart, an amazing sense of humor, a natural knack for selflessness that came as easy to him as did his smile. When Geno was with you, he made you feel like YOU were the most important person in the room, or in the conversation. He asked great questions which were sincere, and he was a great listener. He had a great streak of mischief in his heart and in his eyes....and I can remember countless times where he would kid or tease someone (including some random bystander), and they wouldn't even know they were being kidded. I, along with several buddies, had many great days on the river at Crescent Bar with Geno. Geno passed away the same way he lived...privately, quietly, selflessly, and with class and dignity. He is now being loved unconditionally by Him who gave him life, and it makes me smile to think of his grim charming all in Heaven. See you soon, Geno, and take care. Pablo.

In your hands, O Lord,
we humbly entrust our brothers and sisters.
In this life you embraced them with your tender love;
deliver them now from every evil
and bid them eternal rest.

The old order has passed away:
welcome them into paradise,
where there will be no sorrow, no weeping or pain,
but fullness of peace and joy
with your Son and the Holy Spirit
forever and ever.
Amen.

Tina,
The Gemmill's extend their heartfelt sympathies to you on the loss of your beloved brother, Geno. The news of his passing saddened us greatly. I will always remember his smile, humor and the good that Geno brought to many moments. One memory in particular was driving around Seattle, handing out food to the homeless. Those who knew him, knew he had a very big heart. Wishing peace to you and his friends who miss him. Geno you are free. All your goodness will be remembered.

Geno was one of my favorite people in the whole world and a good friend. We were pisanos. I played football and baseball with him at Lincoln HS before he transferred to Ingram. I also had the pleasure of eating a wonderful pasta dinner with his family when they lived near Ingram. Just a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor and someone I will never forget. I will miss Geno very much

Geno and I played together on the same Little League team, back in 1967. He was always upbeat, happy and a great third baseman!

Although I hadn't seen him in many years, the memories of those days, playing on the diamonds at Maple Leaf and Green Lake, come back quickly.

Rest in peace, Geno.

While at Ingraham High School I remember Geno telling me he left Lincoln High School to play football at Ingraham because of the long rich history of winning under Coach Gasparovich.

He had a wonderful spirit and infectious positive attitude. He was a great teammate.

Geno was a great guy. He was always joking, laughing and teasing someone. He laughed about everything and probably to the end. I would like to tell his family how much he was loved and respected by those of us who worked with him at Boeing. He was never afraid to speak his mind, like it or not. I retired 4 years ago from Boeing but I remember him always as being one of the "good guys". "Pizza Man", you will be missed

Geno was one of the strongest, funnest and most fearless guys I've ever known. Plus he was way ahead of his time when it came to nutrition and fitness. Back when I thought a chocolate-marshmallow shake from DQ was about the healthiest thing I could drink, Geno offered me a homemade protein shake. "What's a protein?" I asked. No wonder he played college football and I couldn't get off the bench at Lincoln. This protein shake is for you, Geno. You'll sure be missed, but never forgotten.

Love you my friend.

Although he was a 'Ram', and I was a 'Raider', had a lot of great times with Geno during high school; the years immediately following high school; as well as throughout the 1980's.

Geno was a class-act, and I have nothing but fond memories of the times spent with him. Sadly, I didn't know that he was ill, and I'm truly sorry that we had lost touch with one another for nearly the past decade.

My sincere condolences to Geno's family and friends for your immense loss.

See you on the other side, my friend.

Take care,

KATHY
