Gertrude "Trudy" WASCHKIES Born March 8th, 1931 in South Bend, IN, Gertrude "Trudy" Waschkies passed away in her home on August 6, 2011 of natural causes. She is survived by her two children, John Waschkies of Atlanta, GA and Karen Higgins of Whitefish, WI along with grandchildren, Zoe and Nick Higgins, son in law Jim Higgins, brother Henry Dorsch, and her adopted family, Leo, Pinky,Diamond, and Pearl Quesada of Seattle, WA. Preceded in death by her brother Otto Dorsch and son George Waschkies. She was professionally a nurse and cared deeply for her family. The gift of her love will be missed. A memorial service will be held at Saint Dunstan's Episcopal Church, 722 N. 145th Street, Shoreline, WA on August 15th, 2011, at 1 p.m.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
