Gloria Dell Ginnever

Gloria was born in Seattle and raised by her parent's Fern and John Kronschnable. As a young girl her dad's job took them to California, Georgia, and Eastern Washington before returning to Seattle where Gloria graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1950. Gloria met the love of her life, Ed Ginnever, in 1948 on a church sponsored cross country bus trip to New York and Washington DC. She attended the University of Washington and was an Alpha Gamma Delta sorority member. She kept those high school and college friendships dear to her always. Ed and Gloria married on Feb 20, 1954 and eventually settled in Shoreline where they raised their family and lived for 25 years. Gloria began her sales career with General Mills in the early 70's and continued in sales with Recycled Paper and as a Real Estate agent until her retirement in 1992.

In retirement Gloria and Ed built their dream home in Edmonds on the water and enjoyed the wonderful sunsets. In her spare time she enjoyed looking for treasures at antique malls, eventually opening a business buying/selling those new found treasures. She and Ed traveled throughout the US & abroad and cultivated new friendships on their many destinations. Locally she enjoyed skiing trips in the winter, vacationing in Lake Chelan, spending time with her grandchildren and playing in many bridge groups with close friends. Over the years, Gloria generously volunteered for organizations she was passionate about including Ryther Child Center. Gloria will be remembered for her radiant smile, warm personality, being a loving and supportive wife, mom and grandmother, an avid Husky fan and her fierce card playing skills.

Preceded in death last year by her husband Ed, and survived by her son Kevin Ginnever (Marilyn) of Seattle, daughter Kelle Winkler (Paul) of Woodinville, and grand-children Lauren, Blaire and Chase.

A heartfelt thank-you to New Hope Adult Family Home in Shoreline for their compassionate care of our mom over the past 20 months.

A Celebration of Gloria's life will be held on June 12th at 3:00pm at Sand Point Country Club
