Gloria Jean McDaniel

Gloria Jean, 68, passed away on December 18th, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born April 3, 1944 in Seattle, WA. She graduated from Shoreline High in 1962.

On June 25, 1965 she married Clarence H. McDaniel Jr., and raised 3 children. Gloria was an avid seamstress and gardener who rejoiced in time spent with friends and family. She cherished her grandchildren: Andrew, Liza, Meg, Katie, and DJ.

She is survived by her husband Clarence, children; Kimberly (Tom) Burggraff, Tami (Chris) Perkins, and Derek S. McDaniel; mother Gloria Betts; brothers: James C. (Jeri) Ferguson, Ralph E. (Diana) Ferguson, sister; Cheryl Jung.

Memorial Service will be held at noon, Thursday, December 27th, at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home. Guestbook at www.washelli.com/obits/

Dear Ones, Our hearts hurt for you Clarence, Kim, Tami, Derek and ALL the McDaniel and Ferguson Family!!! We are SO thankful for all the years of special memories we share with you...Gloria & Pat exchanging childcare when it was our Mommy-turn at preschool, fun activities with our Interracial Fam. Assoc., soccer games where our girls competed against each other (but kept chatting on the field), and on & on... We cherish you and our Gloria, rejoicing that she is pain-free and always in your hearts!!! We Love You. Gentle Bear Hugs enclosed.
