Gregory Abbott Obituary
Greg Abbott, beloved friend and long-time bass-baritone soloist in the Seattle area passed away on July 31st at Callahan House in Shoreline. For many years he lived in Lake City way and was known as an excellent carpenter and cabinet maker. He was diagnosed with dementia in 2008 and was lovingly cared for by his spouse, Madeline, in their Oregon home, until he required 24 hour care. A memorial service will be held for him at Shoreline UU Church on Saturday, August 22 at 2:00.

Dennis and I were so sad to hear of Greg/s passing. He was such a kind, good and gentle man and it was hard to see this disease rob him of so much. Our condolences to Madeleine.

Greg's service , yesterday was so sad. It was wonderful hearing the Menotti recordings & seeing the old pictures.I knew Greg @ UW & afterwards & we did a couple of concerts together. I remember his wonderful performance of the death of the bishop of Brindisi of Menotti @ Plymouth xrch. Also when he sang @ luther park in Mercer Island. What a talent he had & the ability to communicate with his voice to the listener. Why did he have to go? I loved him as on of my dearest friends good bye , dearest Greg.

greg my brother in law and myself got the first ten speed bikes in prineville oregon while in school there. we biked around central oregon going to warm springs and elk lake. he is missed but still with me in alot of good memories.
