My mom and I were talking about my elementary school days very recently, and Ms. Hanna was brought up in conversation. I would always wonder about her and if she was doing well and strong, but I am sad to learn two years after that she had passed away. Thank you for making my days at Parkwood all the more memorable, Ms. Hanna. Meeting you was a privilege and I believe that my life is better because of it.

I'm about a year late in finding out about Ms. Hanna's passing, and am sincerely able to say that she will be missed dearly. Ms. Hanna had a profound impact on my life, and made my elementary school so much more enjoyable. I'll always remember her giving me jolly ranchers, or "pins" (safety pins she had decorated with beads) at recess- I still have them and will cherish them always. She was loved by many, and I'll always remember her sweet soul.

Our condolences to the Hanna family - I first met Hildur and Pep on Johns Island, in the early 1970s. When Pep passed away in 1975, I bought their boat, using it to commute to my new cabin on Johns. Whenever Hildur and I were on the island at the same time, she was always so glad to see her old boat, running strong. I'll always remember how spotlessly clean she kept her cabin - far better than I ever did! We'll miss her -

From a parent of long ago Parkwood students, our family extends its sincerest sympathies to all who had the privilege of having their lives touched by Ms. Hanna, and are now missing her.
My children will always remember how Ms. Hanna gave them something to look forward to on Friday afternoons. They not only looked forward to the candy she offered, but the friendly greeting they always received from her as well. Even as my kids moved on to other schools, sometimes I would have the pleasure of seeing Ms. Hanna at a local grocery store. As we exchanged greetings, it was always amazing how she could remember my kids and wondered how they were doing. I am sure she could have the same recollections of many Parkwood families.
She will be deeply missed by many, but comforting to know she must have taken many happy memories with her.
