Irene I. Cornelison

Irene I. Cornelison passed away April 2, 2013 in Shoreline, WA. She was born December 15, 1922 in Forks Washington and was one of five children. In 1941 she met and married Elbert Cornelison USMC RET, he preceded her in death in 2006. She is survived by two children Woodrow Cornelison and his wife Heidi, and daughter Wanda Breitenstein and her husband Gilbert. She is also survived by three grandchildren; Rick Duncan (Michelle), Tammy Duncan, and Irene Glispy, seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandson, two nephews, and her faithful little hound Rosie. Her greatest love was that for her family and ensuring that they were well cared for especially in their travels while her husband served twenty years in the USMC. She was a lifelong member of American Legion Post 227 auxiliary; she also enjoyed bowling, sewing and travels with her husband in their retirement years. Graveside services to be held Saturday April 13th, 2013 at 12:00 pm at Evergreen-Washelli, Seattle. Reception to follow and will be announced at the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Wounded Warriors Project: http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/
