Iris WILLIAMS Obituary

Iris dell WILLIAMS Iris Williams passed away peacefully October 5th at her son Keith's home surrounded by her family. Born January 26, 1938 in Twin Creeks (Mt. Rainier) WA, she also spent years in Kansas, Roseburg OR and Edmonds & Shoreline, WA. Iris returned to college with her cousin Karen Edwards, graduating at the top of her class June 2, 1978 earning her Registered Nursing degree. She worked at Stevens Hospital over 30 years until retiring. Her love of nursing led her to Maxim, where she provided in home health care and flu clinics. Those who met her knew they were in the presence of someone special. Iris loved family reunions, Thanksgiving and Christmas, but most of all her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Charles Williams and her children, D. Keith Nicholson and Janet Kischel, her husband Don and children Paige and Jordan. Grandchildren include Misty Nicholson, her daughters Talia and Keila; Rodney Nicholson, Jr. and siblings Dallas and Jenny. Also surviving are children Matthew and Theresa Williams and grandchildren Michael, Maia, Joey, Julie and Katie. Iris was preceded in death by son Rodney Nicholson Sr. and sister Carol Rasmussen. She leaves behind sister in law Pauline Clayton, Brother Eldon Zane, brother in Law Richard Rasmussen and special friends James Laycock, Virginia and Mary. Remembrances would be welcome at Seattle Union Gospel Mission or Saving Grace Animal Shelter in Roseburg, Oregon.

My heart goes out to Iris's family. I am so glad we were all together and had so much fun on our all girl cousins trip to Branson. It was a great time. My love to Eldon, Charlie and all my cousins. God Bless you all...

I've known Iris for 20 years.She was a loving wife, mother and especially a loving grandmother.She was my friend and confidante. She even nursed me when I was in need.I loved her and will miss her very much.Goodby Iris, Joey
