Not sure what to say?

Jack Rogers was President of his 1962 graduating class at Ellensburg High School. He was very active in DeMolay and ultimately held the highest office in the state in that youth organization. He leaves a multitude of friends among his classmates. Jack was a fine man. We mourn his loss and extend to his family our sincere condolences.

Jack was one of the finest people I've been privileged to know and work with. I respected and admired him in everything he did. He ALWAYS put what was best for students first as a dedicated Shoreline teacher and employee.
He taught me and many others so much with his uncanny knowledge of politics, too.
My sincere condolences to his family for their (and our) loss.

I was very close to Jack and Laura, I attended their wedding and we have always stayed close. My husband Gary and I are still in shock over the passing of Jack. It is a sad time to lose someone so caring and kind. Thanks for all the fun we 4 have had.

I as a counselor was asked by Dr. Helen MacIntyre,(sp?) Principal of Shorewood High School to interpret some standardized test results to the faculty...I was clueless having had one course in 'test & measurements' in grad. school. I called Jack who was in charge of district testing at that time for assistance. He tried to explain but then realized I was not understanding so he said, " I'll come over and explain the results to the Shorewood faculty". It was just one of the many times this mild spoken, big hearted man helped me out over the many years I knew him. Thanks again Jack, your friend Bill Vickery.

Jack's unfailing compassion, humor, grace and intelligence made me proud to be an educator. We love you, Jack!

I will never forget Jack. On Dec. 19, 1990 the day of the infamous sudden snow storm, Jack came over to Parkwood (our principal was home ill that day) and stayed to help get students home until 8:30 that night. He even walked kids home in the snow in his tennis shoes! He was a life saver that day! He was an extraordinary man; always kind, patient, witty. He touched many, many lives and he will be greatly missed.

Jack was such a caring and nice man. He was our daughter's teacher for both 5th and 6th grade at Ridgecrest Elementary. She was so fortunate to have such a dedicated and wonderful teacher. They broke the mold when they made Jack Rogers. The world has lost one fine educator who touched so many lives. To his family we hope that many wonderful memories will bring you comfort. We are so very sorry for your loss. Rest assured that Jack will not be forgotten and that numerous valuable lessons he taught will live on through all the children whose lives he touched.

I had Mr. Rogers as my 6th grade teacher at Echo Lake. He was a great teacher. So sorry for your loss.
