James Adams Obituary

James Adams

James "Jim" Arthur Adams, born 1/23/1932. After a lengthy illness, died on 11/28/2016. Jim was a graduate of Roosevelt High School, Seattle. He served in the Naval Reserves during his high school years and enlisted in the Navy in 1951. He married Edna "Tiger" Forsey of Seattle in Oct 1953. Jim was very involved in the boy scouts as a scout master, serving on the Chief Seattle Council, Shoreline District BSA. He was later on the Shoreline Chamber of Commerce and then on the Coulee City Council. Jim and Edna were members of the Coulee City Presbyterian Church and a regular at the morning coffee group that meets daily in Coulee City.

Jim and Edna owned the Jim Adams Auto Clinic in Seattle, which they sold in 1990 when they retired. It is still in business under the same name and in the same location. Jim is survived by his wife, Edna, his two sons, Stephen (Susan) of Seattle, Jim (Ann) of Vashon Island, three grandchildren, Marisa, Molly and Hannah, one brother, Bob, and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. His parents and one brother, Don, preceded him in death. A memorial service in Coulee City, is planned for January 14th.
