Jennifer Rapuzzi Obituary
Jennifer Attwood Rapuzzi passed away unexpectedly the morning of Monday October 2, 2017, age 64, after a blessedly short but much too quick battle with cancer. Born in Bristol, England in 1953, Jenny moved with her family to Ontario, Canada, where she spent a happy childhood running through the fields and swimming in the great lakes. The family moved again in 1967 to Seattle, WA, where Jenny attended Rainier Beach High School. Jenny loved Seattle, and met her loving husband Chuck Rapuzzi while working at the Boeing Company. They married in 1983, with daughter Liz and son Robin joining the family in the years after.
A devoted mother and wife, Jenny spent the next 30 years doing what she did best- loving her family. Along the way, she finished her degree at the University of Washington, graduating cum laude in Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences. An avid writer of fiction, she also worked as a copy editor and transcriptionist for a time, and pursued her natural talents in drawing and painting. Jenny was passionate about the environment and did organizing work with the Citizen's Climate Lobby and the Bernie campaign in her later years. She was also involved with the Sierra Club, and enjoyed gardening and bird watching in her backyard. Jenny was lucky enough to have a core group of girlfriends who loved and cherished her for many years. She will be remembered by her family for her wit, intelligence, warmth, and love of music- especially her favorite, Bob Dylan.
Preceded in death by her beloved father Eric Attwood and sister Hilary Carlson, Jenny is survived by husband of 34 years Chuck Rapuzzi, daughter Liz Rapuzzi, son Robin Rapuzzi, daughter-in-law Magda Boreysza and mother Margaret Attwood. She will be mourned by friends and family locally, as well as in England.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 15th at 11am, at the Lake Forest Park Civic Club in Lake Forest Park.
The family requests that donations in Jenny's name be made to the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.

Chuck and family,
It's so hard to put into words of compassion for a loss of wife and mother but please be consoled in your fondest memories. She had to a special person. We will remember you in our thoughts and prayers and a sincere hug of consolation.
