Jeff was the first born, and then came brother Jack and me. He overcame his childhood Asthma to become a four-year Varsity letterman in tennis at the No.1 spot, in high school and at the University of Oregon. Growing up together he took the time for his little sister to teach me how to throw a football, swing a bat, and play tennis and ping pong. It isn't surprising to read how well-liked he was as an adult because he was very popular and active in high school and college. I think of his easy-going and tolerant nature when I am tested by life and thank him for bringing me to my Lord when he was active in Campus Crusade for Christ. I imagine he is now in charge of running the stats on football teams in Heaven, and maybe he has taken up Pickle Ball! [email protected]

The consummate recreation professional, great friend, wonderful golfer with a nice draw on his 3 iron. The best glove on the Reckers Softball Team. The "stats man" for our Rotis Baseball league with the team name 'The Surf'. The Surf will always be up. THTH

So sorry of hear of Jeff's passing. I have many great memories of working with him during my years at Seattle Parks. I will always remember his smiling face and positive attitude. One of the great guys to work with.

Jeff was one of the nicest, most professional individuals I ever worked with at Seattle Parks and Recreation. He was so hard working and could always be counted on to do exactly what he said he would do which is pretty amazing when you think about it! He also had a very dry, witty sense of humor and kept me laughing. All in all, an outstanding man!

Jeff, you were one of my first mentors when I started with Seattle Parks and Recreation 26 years ago. Thank you for all of your support during our years together at Seattle Parks.
