June Elston Obituary

June Harriett ELSTON June Elston, born in Oakville, Iowa June 29, 1920 passed peacefully into the arms of her loving Lord in La Conner July 15, 2011. She was raised on a farm in Iowa, married Robert Elston and moved to Seattle in 1949. She resided in Shoreline, Mercer Island and La Conner. June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. She loved to cook, sew and take care of her family but she also enjoyed gardening, working on crafts and especially snow skiing, which she first started at age 50. She and Bob, a superior court judge, were married for 53 years at the time of his death in 1993. She was a small woman with a large heart and will be greatly missed. June is survived by her four children, Doug (Judy), Ron, Patricia and Steve (Kathy), four grandchildren, Jennifer McClean (Rich), Chris, Cindy and Kevin, and four great grandchildren, Madison, Brandon, Christopher and Connor McClean. A memorial service will be held at the LaConner Retirement Inn on August 3, 2011 at 4:00 pm. Remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, Western & Central Washington State Chapters, Development Dept. 12721 30th Ave. NE, Suite 101, Seattle, WA 98125. Arrangements are under the care of Kern Funeral Home of Mount Vernon, WA.
