Kenneth Carlson Obituary
Kenneth J. Carlson, of Shoreline, Washington, born on November 2,
1920, passed away on February 17, 2016 at the age of 95. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Carlson in 1987, and is survived by his daughter Marilyn Carlson of Seattle. Born in Riceville, Iowa, Kenneth graduated from Iowa State University in 1942 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He served as an officer in the United States Navy during World War II. His first job was as an engineer at the Automatic Electric Company in Chicago, after which he worked at Boeing from 1951 to 1984 as an electronics packaging engineer on defense and space exploration projects. Kenneth was a caring and conscientious husband and father, a devout Christian, and a faithful member of Berean Bible Church of Shoreline. Memorial gifts may be made to The Good Samaritan Fund, Crista Ministries (assists Crista residents needing financial help with rent, food, and medical/nursing care), 19303 Fremont Ave. N., MS-15, Shoreline, WA 98133; or Berean Bible Church, 2345 North 185th St., Shoreline, WA 98133. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home.
