Lillian Burpee Obituary

Lillian Violet BURPEE Beloved mother and dear friend, Lillian Violet Burpee, went to be with the Lord on April 29th 2012. Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1915, Lillian met Frank Burpee and they married in 1938. The couple moved to Seattle where they opened a jewelry and gift shop in the Security Market. In her late thirties, Lillian and Frank started their family having three children. Lillian enjoyed a full life raising her children, playing the piano, growing roses and African Violets and playing the card games Bridge and Bingo with her friends. In 2004, Lillian and Frank moved to Crista Senior Living in Shoreline where Frank passed away in 2006. Lillian will be remembered for her devotion to God, her love for family and friends and her spirit of encouragement to everyone she met. Lillian is survived by her sons Phillip and Scott and his wife Jan, grandsons Al and Steve and his wife Rikki and great grandson Trevor, daughter Susan and her husband Tony. Memorials can be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at Crista Ministries at 19303 Fremont Ave. N. Shoreline, WA 98133. A memorial service will be held at King's Chapel located on the Crista campus at 19327 Kings Garden Drive N., Shoreline, WA 98133, at 2PM on May 19th, 2012.
