
Lois E. Luhman REECE Age 90. Born January 19, 1921 in Spokane, WA. Passed away October 7, 2011. Raised in Minnesota and graduated Cum Laude, University of Minnesota in 1943. Spent 25 years in Southern California as a wife and mother. Lived remaining 43 years in Shoreline, WA. Lois was preceded in death by husband Phillip A. Reece (1991), sons Charles (1997) and Dennis (2005). She is survived by her daughters Barbara Mink and Elaine Bartholomew; grandchildren Justin and Samantha Mink, Shannon Gannon and Shellice Bartholomew; great grandchildren C.J. and Cassidy Gannon. Memorial Services to be held at University Presbyterian Church on Friday, October 21, 2011 from 1-3pm, celebrating Lois as a wife, mother, grandmother, friend, devoted follower of Christ, and 43 years of volunteer service teaching E.S.L. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Literacy Council of Seattle, 8500 14th Ave. N.W., Seattle, WA 98117. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Lois, such an inspiration you were to me. I often went to the Literacy events because of you, and your hospitality was always warm and loving. I wish I had known you better. You will be missed.
