Lucille Chesvick Obituary

Lucille Marie Essler CHESVICK Lucille was 85 years old. Resident of Shoreline, Washington. Died April 15, 2012. She died peacefully at home. Memorial Mass: Wed. 4/18, 10:00a.m. at St. Lukes Parish, Shoreline, WA 98133. Lucille was born on February 2, 1927 in Sioux City, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Pete and Minnie Essler. She had 3 sisters and one brother. Lucille was a farm girl who got up early to milk the cows. She lived through the Great Depression and went to school in a one room school house in North Dakota. She moved to Spokane and worked as a telephone operator until her marriage. Lucille married Clarence Chesvick and soon after became the beloved mother of seven children. Lucille, Clarence and family had to pack up and move from the state of Washington to Alaska and finally settled in Hesperia, California where Lucille resided for forty-two years. Lucille was a dedicated mother devoted to her family. Lucille was a life long Catholic. She attended The Holy Family Church in Hesperia, CA for 40 years along with her family and also attended St. Lukes in Shoreline. Lucille loved to watch baseball and basketball. She was a huge Lakers and Mariners fan. Lucille loved animals especially Jack, her daughters jack russell. Lucille was the queen of idioms.She had an expression for nearly every incident. Lucille resided with Mary and Tim Cleaveland in Shoreline, WA for the past six and a half years. Lucille is survived by Edward and Catherine Chesvick, Theresa Bickle, Mary Cleaveland, Ronny and Donny Chesvick, and Susan Palos. Her surviving grandchildren are Brian and Christina Chesvick, Benjamin Bickle, Rachel, John, Joseph, Paul, Maria, Jo ann, Felicity, Anastasia, and James Palos. Her surviving siblings are Alan Essler, Joyce McWilliams and Maureen Sweet. Gertrude Wheeler preceded her in death.
