Life Long Learner - Teacher for Life
Margaret E. Newell age 94, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2012. She graduated from the University of Washington in 1940 with a degree in secondary education. She taught in Zillah, Enumclaw and the Shoreline School District where she retired in 1979. In her retirement she continued to take classes and tutored many. She enjoyed reading, traveling and tutoring English Language learners. She was a devoted daughter and a loving and generous sister, aunt and friend. Margaret is survived by her cousins, nieces and their spouses and children. She is also survived by her foster daughter Afroditi Mousaki who resides in Greece. She was preceded in death by her brothers, cousins, a niece and a nephew. A celebration of Margaret's life will be held Saturday, August 25th at 11:00 at University Baptist Church, 4731 15th Ave NE, Seattle, WA. At Margaret's request remembrances may be made to the organization or institution of one's choice.

Margaret was a great friend for many years. Wonderful memories fill my heart. I will certainly miss her.
