Margot Kowalsky

Margot (Heesemann) KOWALSKY, nee Wohllreib Margot (Heesemann) Kowalsky, nee Wohllreib, born July 23, 1911 in Berlin, passed away March 6, 2012, in Shoreline. She and her first husband, Dr. Heinz Heesemann, who died in the war, had one son. Following the war Margot and son lived in Berlin, where she worked at Universum Film. In the mid 1950s on a visit to the US, she met Henry Kowalsky, whom she married in 1956. They lived in Michigan and Oregon before moving to Seattle. Here they were active in the German Club and the German Church. Margot was predeceased by Henry and is survived by her son Chris Heesemann of Seattle. Her memorial service is Sunday, March 25, at 12:30 pm, German United Church of Christ in Seattle, 1107 East Howell.
