Sharon was born on August 5, 1941 in Mount Vernon, WA to Harmon and Evelyn Marriott and passed away suddenly on August 6, 2015 in Seattle, WA. She was raised in Alger, WA, and attended Burlington Edison High School. She lived in Alger until moving to what is now Shoreline, WA with her husband Charles John Bennett and family, returning to Alger when they retired. Sharon loved to emcee and play bluegrass music and was seen and heard at festivals all around the area.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, John, her father and two brothers. She is survived by her mother, two sisters, two brothers, three sons and two grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of Sharon's life on Saturday September 19, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Alger Community Hall, 18735 Parkview Lane, Alger, WA. Parking is limited at the hall so if you can please park at the park and ride located two blocks north of the hall.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Sharon's name to: Washington Bluegrass Association, P.O. Box 490, Toledo, WA 98591.
