Marta Lee Matheson, age 55, of Redmond, Washington, died peacefully in her home Friday, November 2, 2012 following a two year battle with cancer
Born on May 26, 1957 to Mary Lee (Grandson) and Gene Coumbe she resided in Shoreline, Washington and graduated from Shorecrest High School.
She was employed by major financial institutions over the years
and developed skills in processing commercial loans and leases. She was working for Washington Federal Bank, as a loan processor until her cancer diagnosis in 2010.
Marta was an enthusiastic gardener and, in recent years, a model grandmother. Always one to do it her way, she particularly enjoyed offering Thanksgiving dinner on the Saturday after Thanksgiving while her husband Kevin put up an awesome display of Christmas lights.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kevin Matheson, her daughter, Jennifer Lee Maszalek (Andy), Her precious grand- daughters, Isabelle and Adrianna, and father Gene Coumbe (Donna).
There will be a celebration of her life at 1:00pm, November 17, 2012 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1315 North 160th Street, Shoreline, Washington, 98133. An ice cream social will follow.
