Mary Hill Obituary

Mary Ann Hill

May 19, 1918 ~ May 11, 2014

Mary Ann passed away in Lynnwood at the age of 95. She was born in Spokane, raised in Seattle, and attended Queen Ann High School and WSU. She was married to Ansel Hill from 1939 until his passing in 2007. Mary Ann was a longtime member and volunteer at University Christian Church and guild member of Children's Orthopedic Hospital and Ryther Child Center. She was active in Girl Scouts and worked for many years as Secretary for the U of W Campus Christian Ministries. She and Ansel were world travelers and were active in the Shoreline Senior Center. Mary Ann spent her last three years at an adult family home in Lynnwood. She is survived by their three daughters, Janet Heikkila (Vern), Barbara Nelson (Robert), and Beverly Johnson (Wayne). Other survivors include five grandchildren, four great-grand-children, and a sister, Virginia. There will be a private family memorial. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests remembrances may be made to Providence Hospice and Home Care, 2731 Wetmore Avenue, #500, Everett, WA 98201 or to University Christian Church, 4731 15th Ave. N.E., Seattle, WA 98105.

I was so honored to see your mom and dad when they lived at the same retirement place as my parents. I will always remember both of them with great fondness. May God bring you peace.
