Michael Kercheval Obituary
Michael Robert Kercheval entered life on October 3rd, 1953 at Chelan, Washington, the second son of Ronald L. Kercheval, Sr. and Ruth Elaine Parker. Mike lived life his way departing this world unexpectedly on July 4th 2014.
Mike graduated from Mount Vernon Union High School. He received his Bachelor's degree from Simon Fraser University where he was an all American competitive swimmer. Mike went on to receive his MBA from the University of Washington.
Mike spent most of his professional career crafting systems for the transportation industry. He was an early innovator of successfully tracking container shipments from the Pacific Rim to final destinations in the US.
Mike was an avid skier spending many years in every possible run at Stevens Pass. He loved exploring new places to ski in western North America. In the summer having a board on his feet continued with boating and water skiing.
Mike married Sandy Brezarich in 1988. They made their home in Lake Forest Park where they had two children, a son, David Michael Kercheval and a daughter, Katie Virginia Kercheval.
A small family service for Mike was held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Mount Vernon. Remembrances can be made to Northwest Harvest.

My heart is so sad. The summer between 8th and 9th grade, Mike gave me a walking tour of Mount Vernon High School, to help me prepare as an incoming freshman. The campus seemed so big and vast, I was in awe. Both excited and nervous at the same time.
Later that summer, I helped him move from Fir Island to Big Lake. He had a two-seater Porsche roadster at the time, and it took 6-7 trips in one day to move "the small stuff." He treated me to my very first beer that day -- either Rainier or Olympia -- I can't remember which. But, when I see either of those to beers -- or a Porsche roadster -- I smile a think of him.
Rest in peace, Mike. I shall remember you always.

Mike how could you leave us all so soon? You will be very missed especially at T.L.V. You were a great friend and a real intelligent fellow. You will be very missed and I know you are up sitting beside our Lord explaining how things should be done the right way.
