Miriam Downend Obituary
September. 4, 1928 ~ March 18, 2013
Miriam was born in Wendell, ID to Clarence and Emma Rigney.
She graduated from high school in Jerome, ID and attended nurses training at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise, ID.
She met Roger on a blind date. They married and they enjoyed life together for 57 years until his passing in 2005.
She was active as a Camp Fire Girls leader, recipient of the PTA's Golden Acorn award and volunteered at the Shoreline Senior Ctr gift shop for many years.
She is survived by her sister Marjorie Hamilton of Mt. Home, ID; daughter, Jane Gilliland (Pat), granddaughter Emily Dinsmore (Chris) great-grandchildren Zoë and Owen; numerous nieces & nephews. She will be missed by many. A remembrance of her life will be held at her home on Sat., March 30th from 1:00-4:00 p.m. All who knew and loved her are invited to attend.
