Don & Barbara, I don't know if you'll get this message as I just found Patty's obituary. I'm so terribly sorry for your loss and devastated to learn of this difficult news. Patty was a force to be reckoned with in the courtroom (her sweet, petite stature) so I was told, as I recall her always teasing that she turned into a bulldog and the opposing attorneys never knew what hit them. Outside the courtroom she touched many lives and no one would ever forget her sincere, sweet love of life and people. We nicknamed her "Scarlett" as I recall. We met when I moved to Gig Harbor in the 90's and became steadfast friends through Junior League Tacoma. I went through a difficult divorce in the late 90's and Patty's friendship and faith helped carry me through difficult times. As Patty was a witness during my Annulment, I came across her letter to my priest recently and was so excited to find her contact information. Patty came to visit me in Nashville, TN after my divorce and we had such a strong friendship I'm sad that years passed and we lost touch. Now I'm speechless and so very, very sad. I've since remarried and live in Nashville. I'd welcome the opportunity to share some of our adventures as she'll always hold a special place in my heart. Patty would have referred to me back then as Kate Moles. 615-604-1876

I just learned of the passing of Patty. I had contact with her threw my job, we never met, but in conversations on the phone, we became friends. She even thought of me when she went to the Winter Olympics and sent me a Curling souvenir pin. May God's Blessings, Peace, and Love be with the family. She was a very remarkable person!!

It was with great sadness that I learned of your loss. It has been a number of years since I saw Patti but I remember her with much fondness and joy. I had the honor and pleasure of working with her at Shorewood as a teacher and her class advisor. I have wonderful memories of a beautiful, smart, friendly and just fantastic person. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your loss.

I first met Patti when she was an intern at the prosecutor's office (where I work) and later was her opposing counsel on many of her appellate cases. She was a smart, articulate advocate and her professionalism was top notch. She had a smile that could light up a room. I am in shock that we have lost her so soon. I offer my deepest sympathy and prayers to all who knew and loved her.

I wish I had the opportunity to know Patty in recent years. I valued her friendship in high school and I can only imagine the beautiful person she continued to be. My prayers will continue to be with her family and friends that are hurting in this time of loss. Loss is hard, loss too soon is even harder.

Dear Don, Barbara and family, it has been years since I have connected with Patty. She was one of my best friends in law school. We were room mates at an apartment on South 19th Street in Tacoma. Patty was in my study group and a dear friend. I have so many fond memories of her during our battle years in law school. She always made me laugh and was a kind and generous ear when needed. She was always so thoughtful and every Christmas I could count on receiving her Christmas card. Patty will be greatly missed! My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Don and Barbara, my heart breaks for you and your family. It is so hard to believe Patty's vibrant, enthusiastic life has passed so soon. Sending you much love and many prayers.

I grew up just one block from Patty's house. Her sister Nancy was my best childhood friend and had spent many years over at the Pethick's home. I will always remember Patty as being kind, generous, bright and always reading a book. My deepest condolences to you Nancy, Donny, Barbara and Don as well as all the people who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to Patti's family and to Sally. Our loss is so great.
Patti walked into my life as a legal intern and never walked out. She was "just an intern" for about two minutes before her wit, vibrancy, and compassion for others became obvious. Patti's enthusiasm for life, her zeal for whatever project lay before her, and her intense desire to understand her work and the people involved were her hallmarks. Patti always was there to provide support in times of sickness, personal difficulties. She showed her love for her friends a hundred ways every day. Patti was loving, loyal, and loved to laugh!
Patti brightened the world. We indeed will miss her and never forget her. And we will see her again

I only knew Patricia through our work. I too am a Pethick. My father's name was Don and my mother's name was Sandra. Patricia knew my brother Bill. She was a brilliant young lady. I am sure that she will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Patty was one of the finest legal advocates I have ever known -- fiercely intelligent, sensitive, passionate about her profession. I am honored to have worked with her on many cases. My prayers are with her family, MK and Sally in this time of incredible loss. May God "comfort all who mourn, provide for those who grieve in Zion--to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of despair." Isaiah 61:1-3.

Patty's passing is a staggering loss to those who loved her - and there are many. She was a fiercely loyal friend and remarkable lawyer. Her home and heart were always open to those she loved. She was beautiful and vibrant, articulate and empathetic and her laugh was contagious. There aren't enough positive adjectives to capture Patty. That would require a book.
To her family, I wish you comfort and peace in our shared knowledge that, while you're hurting, she is better than fine. Patty would be the first to say that she was well-raised by good people whom she not only loved, but also respected and admired. While most certainly gone far too soon, Patty had a great life.
To Mary Kay and Sally, her best friend and Goddaughter, I'm confident that one day soon you'll find your way through the pain to think of Patty and smile again - grateful for the gift of her unwavering love and support. You were her much-deserved chosen family and were beyond fortunate to have her so deeply entwined in your lives. You - and she - chose well.
Patty will be sorely missed.

I will miss Patty's unbelievable love of life! I will miss her wonderful parties and food and that laugh when she was excited. Patty was truly the center of our group started back when Sally was just little and we would meet at MK's to take her trick or treating. Patty always cared so much about what was going on in our lives and with our families. To Patty's family I am so sorry for your loss. To Mary Kay and Sally, my heart is breaking for you. Patty you were so loved and you will be missed so much!

Intelligent, articulate, loving, forgiving, brave, beautiful and energetic. No room was dark once she entered. No conversation was dull in which she shared. Always ready with a smile and a hug. Never failing to offer a word of hope or encouragement. She not only taught me to read, but instilled in me joy in the written word. I would not be who I am without her. I will miss her terribly. But I take great comfort in knowing she was a woman of firm faith in Our Lord. God is faithful. We will see her again. May God's consoling Holy Spirit be with us all.
