Pauline Pascoe Obituary

Pauline Lillian PASCOE Born on April 9, 1924 in Hubbell, Michigan, Pauline passed away in Shoreline, WA on July 18, 2011. Upon graduating from college in Marquette, MI, she became an elementary school teacher in Grand Rapids, MI and Denver, CO. She reconnected with her childhood sweetheart, William Pascoe. They married in 1949 and made a home in the Pacific Northwest. Pauline earned her Master's Degree at the University of Washington and was a merit teacher and librarian in the Shoreline School District for 36 years. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her husband. They explored Turkey, Yugoslavia, Siberia, China and other interesting destinations. She also volunteered at Northwest Hospital in the Oncology Dept. which she found most gratifying. Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister lost her battle of 17 years from the debilitating effects of Alzheimer's Disease and MRSA. Pauline is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, William Calvin Pascoe, daughter Wendy (John) McDevitt, son Steve (Melissa) Pascoe, grandchildren Allison and Daniel Pascoe, and Meghan and Jenna McDevitt. She also leaves her brother Alfred Hendrickson (Delilah) many cousins, nieces and nephews in many parts of the country who will miss her greatly. Our profound thanks to the management and caregivers at 'Welcome Home' in Shoreline for the loving care they have given Pauline over these last five years. Also, many thanks to the excellent professional care given by Evergreen Hospice. Gifts to research c/o The Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated. A Celebration of Pauline's life will be held on Wed. August 3rd, 11:30 - 1:30, in the Edmonds Plaza Room, (above the library), 650 Main Street, Edmonds, WA 98020 Sign Pauline's on-line Guest Book at www.Legacy.com.
