Rick and I were chums at Seattle Central and knew each other from our mutual friends at Happy Face Cafe in Southcenter. I loved him like a brother. He was (and is) awesome! We will see you again soon my friend.

So saddened to hear of Rick's passing. He was a good friend in HS.
I will always remember with fondness our 10 year HS reunion, and talking with him until the sun came up.
I will miss you, Rick.

Sad to hear about Rick. We went to school together from elementary on up. He was my "high school sweetheart". We had lost touch over the years but there was a time (way back when) when we spent every free minute together. Lived and learned a lot of life during our few years together. I loved him (and his family) as best an 18 year old dreamy eyed girl knows how. My condolences to his loved ones. Bye Ricky. -Julie Jacobs Vogl

I am very sorry to hear about Rick's passing. I was in his Boy Scout troop a long time ago, and remember him as kind and encouraging to us younger boys. May his memory be eternal.

We were so sad to learn of Rick's death. He made our wine parties so much fun and so informative. Rick was a "kind" man that everyone loved. Our deepest sympathy to his family.

Rick had an amazing gift for gab and a passion for adventure which he shared with me during our many conversations at work and after work where one time our conversation had to end after an hour and a half because of a sudden rain storm in the back lot. He found such joy in his travels. He inspired me!

I only got to meet Rick briefly last year but his kindness and thoughtfulness towards others in his life brought a smile to my face. I noticed he was always taking pictures and did not realize that this was a passion of his. I will remember him always.

Rick had a passion for wine rivaled by none.
He always found ways to make people laugh, was a wonderful story teller, and a good friend. He is missed.
