Robert Stricklin Obituary

Robert Lee Stricklin

Robert passed away at his home in Seattle on July 6, 2018, at the age of 65, after a courageous battle against lung cancer. He was born on February 23, 1953, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Ted and Irene Stricklin (Williams). As a child, Robert lived in Denver, Colorado; Liberal, Kansas; and Fircrest and Lake Forest Park, Washington. He attended Shorecrest High School and lived his adult life in Seattle. Robert worked at Harborview Medical Center, then as a dedicated and effective advocate at the Metro Tenants Union. Robert was known for his kindness and great sense of humor.

He is survived by his spouse and life-partner of 46 years, Robert Hunner, of Seattle, and his brothers Gary Stricklin (Jan Latona), of Fort Collins, Colorado, and John Stricklin (Sharon) of Indian Trail, North Carolina. Robert also leaves behind several cousins, nieces and nephews and many others who will miss him.

At his request, there will be no funeral service. Please make memorials to Doctors Without Borders (888-392-0392) or Seattle Humane (425-373-5382).
